Blue Eye of Theth

The Blue Eye of Theth is a clear, cold pool below a small waterfall in the Theth valley of northern Albania, and these guides include it in Alps trips. It is reached on foot from the villages near Theth, and the walk through the valley makes it one of the most popular half-day outings in the area. Not to be confused with the Blue Eye spring near Saranda, it appears here in a feature on Albania's national parks, a photography guide, a traveller's guide on what to see, and a five-day trip from north to south. A piece on village life adds the food and hospitality of the mountains.
