Grama Bay

Grama Bay is a remote cove on the Karaburun peninsula in southwest Albania, known for ancient carvings in its cliffs; these articles cover a visit. Sailors sheltering in the bay over many centuries left their names and messages in the rock of an old quarry, and the cove can only be reached by sea. Our guide explains the history of the carvings and how to get there by boat. Grama Bay also appears in a roundup of the most beautiful beaches in Albania and in a summer guide to the cleanest and least crowded beaches of the Albanian Riviera.
