Farka Lake

Farka Lake (Liqeni i Farkës) is an artificial lake on the southeastern edge of Tirana, about 10 km from the city centre. Created by a dam on its southern side, it covers roughly 75 hectares and stretches about 2 km in length, making it larger than the better-known lake in Tirana’s Grand Park.

About Farka Lake

Today the lake is a municipal park managed by the city’s parks agency, and it has become a favourite green escape for residents. A promenade with benches circles much of the shore, ideal for walking, running or cycling, while the water reflects the slopes of Mount Dajti rising beyond it.

Quieter than the city centre yet easy to reach, Farka Lake is a pleasant stop for a stroll or a coffee by the water, especially in the late afternoon light.
