Itinerary & Details

Day 1: Arrival in Bulgaria. Explore Sofia City and Traditional Dinner

  • Arrival at Sofia International Airport. When you exit the airport building you will find the tour guide holding a sign of ALBANIA INBOUND. After the meet up, you will be swiftly transported to your hotel in the city center to check in.
  • Embark on a 1.5-hour walking tour of the city center where you will be introduced to the culture of Albania and the history of Tirana city. Several facts and information will be provided to you while you visit several landmarks like: Sofia Palace of Justice, Sveta Nedelya Church, Sofia Monument, Saint Joseph’s Cathedral, Saint Petka Church, Banya Bashi Mosque, St George Rotunda Church, Bulgarian National Art Gallery and in the end the famous Hagia Sophia.
  • You will finish the walking tour of Sofia at a traditional restaurant. Explore various Bulgarian traditional dishes.

Day 2: Plovdiv: Europe’s Oldest Town

  • Start your drive and follow the traces of Bulgarian history in Europe’s oldest town. Enjoy a 2-hour guided walking tour of the Old Town.

Day 3: Enter Serbia: Nish Day Trip from Sofia

  • Today you will take a de-tour to the historic city of Nis. You will see the most historic sites of Nish like: Nis Fortress, Skull Tower, Nazi Concentration Camp, Niš Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and will enjoy a walk in the historical old part of the old city .
  • Enjoy traditional Serbian food at the old town.

Day 4: Enter Macedonia: Skopje

  • Today we will start our drive towards Sofia, but before we cannot miss the famous Rila lakes and monastery. Enjoy some breathtaking views of the 7 Rila Lakes. You will have several short tracks you can choose from once there.
  • Visit Rila Monastery, the biggest and most important symbol of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
  • Arrival in Skopje. Situated in the northwestern part of North Macedonia, along the Vardar River, Skopje is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia.
  • Uncover Skopje’s neoclassical charm, wandering through Macedonia Square, the Art Bridge, and the Old Bazaar.

Day 5: Visit Kosovo: Prishtina & Prizren

  • Today, you will spend your whole day visiting Kosovo from Skopje. Thanks to the proximity of the cities (5-hour total drive time from Skopje), you can visit both the Capital city and the most important cultural city of Kosovo in 1 day.
  • First reach Prishtina and embark on a walking tour of Prishtina city and visit several landmarks like: Skanderbeg Statue, NEWBORN and HEROES monument, Mother Theresa Cathedral, the boulevard of Prishtina and Gazimestan monument.
  • Enjoy free time in the city.
