- Midway you will come across the small town of Belsh. Found in the karstic region of Dumrea, Belshi town is located by Belshi lake and surrounded by 84 other small lake. Enjoy a brief stop for a caffe by the lake.
Berati Castle
- Next, ascend the castle hill for a visit to the 2,500-year-old Berati Castle. Embark on a 1.5-hour walking tour and learn about its development under different empires, spanning from Roman to Byzantine to Ottoman. Visit several landmarks, including the Church of Saint Mary, the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Red Mosque, the fortress walls and watchtowers, and traditional Ottoman houses.
Mangalemi and Gorica Old Towns
- Descend to the city center and explore the renowned Mangalemi neighborhood. Discover significant landmarks such as the city gate and former Pasha’s residence, the Sultan’s Mosque, and Berat’s bustling boulevard. Pass by the famous Gorica Bridge and explore the old Gorica neighborhood.

Anest fue nuestro guía y conductor y nos encantó! Aprovecho, Anest, para darte nuevamente las gracias por tu atención, simpatía y por todas las horas de conducción que has tenido que hacer para que nosotros podamos disfrutar de la excursión. Hicimos una excursión fantástica al Berat. El paisaje, las vistas y el caminito fue muy bonito e interesante. Además, Anest supo cuidar de nosotros durante toda la excursión y explicarnos todas las historias, anécdotas y curiosidades que conocía. Por último, fuimos a comer a un restaurante de comida tradicional y homemade, que estaba realmente bueno!!! En nuestro caso, creemos que vale la pena coger en Civitatis la excursión que incluye el menú almuerzo. (Si no, puedes ir de todos modos a comer al restaurante con todo el grupo y pedirte los platos que más te apetezcan libremente). Lo recomendamos! :))

A perfect way to visit Berat
For our trip to berat we chose this tour and were very happy with the tour, guide and bus. We took a tour around the castle with information and a nice drive down to the town. Would recommend for your trip in Tirana. Great recommendations too.
