During this period, hundreds of thousands of bunkers were constructed across Albania in preparation for a possible invasion. These bunkers are a striking symbol of the era and still define the landscape today.
Bunk'Art 1, one of the largest and most impressive bunkers in Albania, extends five stories underground within a hillside and even features its own cinema. Do we enter inside the bunker or we only have a tour outside the area?
The guided tour is organised inside the bunker. With the entrance tickets already included in the price, you will have access to the bunker and will visit it with the guide.
How long can we stay in the bunker?
The guided tour inside the bunker lasts about 1.5 hours, however you tickets are valid for the whole day. As long as you do not exit the bunker, you are free to explore it as long as you wish.
Where is the meeting point?
There is one meeting point for each of the options you can choose. If you choose the option with skip the line tickets and guide, the meeting point is inside the bunker area, in front of the ticketing cabin. If you choose the option with transport included, the meeting point is right in front of FRIENDSHIP MONUMENT, behind the Opera house in the city center.
What is BunkArt 1?
Bunk'Art 1 is museum displayed at an underground bunker bulit during the communist regime of Enver Hoxha. The bunker is constructed to be the center of command and house Albania's leadership in case of war.

La experiencia ha sido regular. Contratamos la experiencia de las 9:15 y nos decían que estuviéramos en el punto de recogida a las 8:45. Llegamos con tiempo, y a las 8:45 no había nadie de la empresa, ni habíamos recibido ningún comunicado previo. Escribimos por la app, llamamos, y al final, sobre las 8:55, nos informan que el conductor llegará a las 9:20 (5min de restraso, no nos parece grave, pero sí que no avisaran). Llegamos a Bunk’Art y nos dicen que nuestro guía no está disponible, que está con otro grupo. Nos dan dos opciones o vamos por nuestra cuenta (leyendo los carteles) o nos esperamos una hora. Como no teníamos esa hora disponible, porque teníamos otra actividad después y nos gusta llegar con tiempo, solicitamos que nos dieran, como mínimo, audio-guías. Accedieron sin problema, pero sigue sin ser el servicio contratado. No es lo mismo que un guía te expliqué el museo. El museo es increíble, lo disfrutamos mucho, pero la experiencia no fue del todo la contratada.

Tony was a great guide. He took extra time at the beginning of the tour to discuss the current (protests) situation in the city. The background information was very helpful. To fully appreciate the bunker history here, you need a guide.
