Itinerario & Dettagli
Inizio della giornata
- Il prelievo è previsto in qualsiasi momento dalle 09:00 alle 10:00 presso il vostro hotel o nelle immediate vicinanze. La guida turistica vi accoglierà e sarete accolti a bordo di un comodo mezzo di trasporto.
Canyon di Bovilla
- Durante il vostro viaggio attraverso la campagna albanese, raggiungerete i canyon di Bovilla. Godetevi gli splendidi panorami naturali del canyon. Fate una breve pausa per scattare qualche foto e fare un po’ di stretching.
Diga di Bovilla
- Salite fino alla diga di Bovilla, un’imponente struttura che si erge a 91 metri di altezza. Questa diga costituisce la principale fonte di approvvigionamento idrico ed elettrico di Tirana, attingendo al lago circostante.
Monte Gamti
- Intraprendete il sentiero escursionistico verso il monte Gamti, dove ogni curva svela viste mozzafiato sul lago e sulla campagna circostante. L’escursione prevede pause intermittenti per riposare e ammirare il paesaggio. Dopo circa 25 minuti a un’altitudine di 850 metri, la strada termina e raggiungerete l’unico bar del monte Gamti. Dopodiché, vi aspettano altri 10 minuti di cammino sui pendii rocciosi per raggiungere la vetta. Una volta raggiunta, vi godrete uno dei panorami più spettacolari dell’Albania. Scendete lungo lo stesso sentiero e, una volta raggiunta la base, visitate la riva del fiume.
Tempo libero
- Concludete la giornata con un po’ di tempo libero per gustare un pasto in un ristorante vicino o uno spuntino che avete portato con voi. Dopo una giornata ricca di avventure e paesaggi naturali mozzafiato, tornate a Tirana, dove verrete riaccompagnati al vostro alloggio.

Magical!!
Highly recommend visiting this magical spot and enjoying the stunning views. There’s a 30-minute hike to a viewpoint, which I did with my 4.5-year-old son—he loved it and thought it was both beautiful and adventurous. I checked with the homestay and restaurant owner before heading up for advice.
It’s doable with little ones, but careful supervision is a must. We stayed one night at Lake Bovilla, as that was all that was available. If we return, we’d definitely spend three nights to fully enjoy this fantastic place.
Beautiful lake with stunning views
This artificial lake, perched at around 1000 m in the mountains, is definitely worth a visit. You can reach it via a coach track using a 4×4 or SUV. There’s a high-altitude restaurant and bar nearby, and a short walk from there leads to a suspended platform…perfect for capturing stunning photos.
A mountain escape
We spent a beautiful day here. The experience is truly rewarding, but be prepare, it’s physically demanding. You need to be fit and ready, but every step is worth it.
Breathtaking vistas
A lovely lake with stunning views, though the journey isn’t easy—a long stretch of gravel road awaits. The climb to the viewpoint is challenging, especially with young children, but the breathtaking panorama makes every step worth it!
A quick escape from Tirana
One of my favorite spots near Tirana, just 20 km from the capital. The hike isn’t long—even for those who don’t usually hike and the view from the top is absolutely worth it.
Stunning views
A very pretty spot, best visited with a car suited for the terrain. The views are stunning—perfect for photos—and along the way, you might encounter some friendly sheep and goats.
Climb, explore, enjoy
If you’re not afraid of rough roads or uneven paths, the effort is well worth it. After a short hike of a few kilometers, the view is absolutely breathtaking! Don’t hesitate to climb the stairs to the city bridge (just €1 per person). The on-site restaurant is very welcoming and adds to the experience.
Una salita che vale la pena
Il Lago Bovilla è un luogo eccezionale! La strada per raggiungerlo è abbastanza stretta, ripida e un po’ lunga, il che a volte la rende impegnativa, ma lo sforzo viene davvero ricompensato. Una volta parcheggiato, la salita offre viste magnifiche lungo tutto il percorso. L’ingresso costa solo 1 € a persona, un prezzo davvero ragionevole per uno spettacolo naturale simile. Da non perdere per gli amanti dei paesaggi impressionanti!
Worth it
The food was absolutely stunning…cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was super cute, and the waiter, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He truly made the meal even more special.
Absolutely beautiful
Absolutely beautiful! You can either hike or drive up to the restaurant, which offers stunning views along with fantastic food and service. There’s also a short walk to an additional viewing platform on the mountain. The restaurant, cabins, and viewing platform are modern and tastefully designed. It’s a family-owned venture in partnership with the local village community. The food was excellent—definitely try the mixed starters (we enjoyed them alongside grilled meats). Truly the best meal we’ve had in Albania!
Summer views you can’t miss
Anyone who loves nature will absolutely adore this place, and hiking enthusiasts will enjoy it even more. The best time to experience it is in the summer.
