Our tour from Tirana to Theth was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Genand, was friendly, funny, and very patient, especially with us beginner hikers. He gave us plenty of time to enjoy the hike and take in the stunning scenery. The Blue Eye of Theth was breathtaking, truly a must-see! I highly recommend this trip and Genand as a guide. It was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and great company!

I was not a really nature person, however after seeing pictures of Theth, especially the church, I said I must come here and I found this tour. And I don’t regret my decision. The tour started very early, about 1 hour earlier to avoid the infamous Tirane traffic jam but the communication from the tour group was excellent. My tour guide was Desi and he is one of the highlight of the tour. This is a young man but with great stamina, excellent communication skill and also very knowledgable about the place. The driving was expectedly long but the bus was comfortable. Once reaching, we did the trek to Blue Eye which is a challenging for a person like me, however with the help of Desi, I managed to reach the place and also have the courage to dip in the freezing water. After the tour, the lunch was so fulfilling but the history of the village including the isolation tower where Desi really show his knowledge and the view from the Church is absolutely out-of-this-world. This is a must-do tour

We had the most incredible trip with Daniel. He is a very knowledgeable and personable guide. He shared lots of interesting facts about Albania, and village traditions, with us and took a genuine interest in the group. The driver was also very skilled in manoeuvring the mountain roads and made us feel safe. The journey itself is stunning, I highly recommend going in Autumn, it feels so magical to drive through the mountains with the trees turning orange, red and yellow. The hike isn’t too strenuous, and you are rewarded with views the whole way. This has to be one of the best tours I’ve done, not one to be missed when in Albania. Faleminderit!

Daniel our guide was impressive. The hike it’s self is not easy but worth it! Unfortunately rained a bit so the “trail” was slippery. Not for someone looking for a casual stroll or has knee/foot problems. Dress accordingly! (Hikers or runners for sure, athletic pants, layers)

The destination was absolutely stunning – breathtaking mountains and views, truly worth visiting. Unfortunately, the tour organization was disappointing. The group had about 20 people instead of the promised 15, making it crowded. The minibus was uncomfortable, smelled of fuel, and it was hard to hear the guide due to poor speakers. The guide’s behavior was unprofessional — he has 2 drinks during the tour, walked too fast for some participants, and even disappeared at one point. The recommended restaurant was also a letdown: cold fries, poor-quality meat, and a dismissive reaction when we shared feedback. Overall, the place itself is amazing, but the tour needs much better organization, a professional guide, and higher quality to truly match the beauty of the destination.

First of all, WOW! Daniel made us feel right at home and safe! He helped with difficult parts of the hike, gave historical information regarding the village and Albania in general and made sure everything went smoothly along the way. Albania is so beautiful and he made sure we saw all the good spots. If you are thinking of booking a tour in Albania, book this one!! I am sad the day is over as I can not get enough of the beautiful Albanian Apls. The hike itself was pretty difficult at some parts, please be critical about yourself if you can handle it. The information on this tour will help you with that.

Theth is beautiful! A must-see in Albania. The guide was accommodating and the pick-up was on schedule. I would encourage the tour guide to provide more information about the country and the national park.

This tour was amazing. I did this in autumn time and I have to say this was truly breathtaking. Yes it’s a little far and yes it’s more expensive than the other tours, but this was easily the best experience I had in Albania. I would highly recommend this especially if you have a clear day the views are truly out of this world

This was such an impressive experience! The hike through the Albanian Alps was absolutely beautiful, and the swim in the Blue Eye was unforgettable – the water is only 5°C, icy cold but incredibly refreshing after the climb.

Our guide Daniel and the driver were truly excellent – knowledgeable, professional, and very kind. Unfortunately, our bus broke down on the way back. These things can happen, but it took quite a while before replacement transport arrived. Daniel really proved to be a pro in handling the situation calmly and keeping everyone informed.

Tips for future travelers:

• Wear proper shoes – this hike is definitely not for flip-flops.

• Bring enough drinking water for the climb.

All in all, a wonderful adventure worth recommending!

We did the tour to Theth and Blue Eye from Tirana. The mountains were beautiful and worth the visit. The van was comfortable and well driven. The road is now paved all the way which was nice. It isn’t very wide though! Our guide lead us to the Blue Eye and organized our lunch.

This was such an amazing tour!! Our guide/driver Anest was the best! It was a small group of 5, including our guide, which made for such a great trip! We were able to stop for coffee along the way, had lunch before we hiked to the Blue Eye, swam, stopped for pictures, and ended our tour at Theth admiring the church and learning about local customs. The hike wasn’t too difficult, and the swim while cold, was so refreshing and delightful. Our group had such a great day together, the only downside was the traffic. What should have taken 1 1/2 hours to get to Shkodër took us 4 1/2, and that was even with our guide looking for alternative routes to miss the bulk of the traffic jam. We left from Tirana at 6:30 and got back at 23:30, so be prepared for a long day of travel in the summer months, because the traffic can get really bad. Anest really went above and beyond as our guide and doing his best to make our tour the fun and enjoyable, despite the unexpected traffic delays and long day!

My trip to the Albanian Alpes and Theth was simply amazing, and i want to point out that our Guide ( named Nolan ) was the most kind and patient person, we had two problems: one was that my friend was feeling sick due to the obstacles in the road and he gave her his seat in the front part of the van so she would feel better and she felt so. The second one was with our car when we came back from the tour, and he didn’t leave us alone until we were safe, we want to thank him because he was top 10

Really nice locations, worth seeing them all! Be prepared for a hike at almost 40 degrees, you will go for 50 minutes one way and back, going up a hill. Can be a bit exhausting if you are not used to high temperatures but really worth seeing it! Thanks also to Nolan for beeing such a good guide, very kind and supportive 😉

It was a blast! We had Nolan as our guide who was lovely. The drive to Theth was beautiful and fun – just looking out the window was great. The hike was pretty quick and not too hard. It was nice to be in a relatively small group who all fit into a sprinter van. Overall, would definitely recommend.

This was a fantastic day trip from Tirana. Our guide, Mentor, was terrific, providing insightful background about the country and the sites we were seeing. He stopped along the journey for scenic lookouts, guided us on the hike to the beautiful Blue Eye waterfall, and took us to historic places in the area. Plus he navigated the mountain roads like a champ. You can cover a lot of ground on this excursion and literally immerse yourself in the northern part of the country (including a dip in the water at the Blue Eye). I highly recommend it!

We booked day trip to Theth village and Blue eyes lake. It’s a small private group with only 4 tourists. Our tour guide Mentor is friendly, helpful and enthusiastic, although the weather is challenging (sunny, rainy, hailing) but he managed to show us as much as possible, we really enjoyed and appreciated it, thank you Mentor and our company couple ❤️ P.s just one small thing that picking up time needs to be updated along with pick up destination, for example I booked tour from Shokder (pick up at 8.30-9am) not 6.30am (from Tirana).

I’d like to take this opportunity, Anest, to thank you again for your attention, friendliness, and for all the hours of driving you had to do so we could enjoy the excursion.

We had a fantastic excursion to the Blue Eye and the village of Theth. The scenery, the views, and the short walk through the Albanian Alps were beautiful and interesting. Anest also took great care of us throughout the excursion and shared all the stories, anecdotes, and interesting facts she knew.

Finally, we went to eat at a restaurant serving traditional homemade food, which was really good! In our case, we think it’s worth booking the Civitatis excursion that includes a lunch menu. (If not, you can still go to the restaurant with the whole group and order whatever dishes you’d like.)

We were really keen to visit the Albanian alps while in Tirana for 5 days , but couldn’t decide on a when to fit it in. We booked this tour while in the city the morning before and i’m so glad we did. Our guide Nolan and his driver picked us up at 5.45, 30 seconds from our AirBnB and we had a full group of 19. There were frequent photo stops on the drive up before reaching the stunningly beautiful Theth village and heading up for the hike to the blue eye. I’m so glad we didn’t attempt to drive this ourselves! The driver handled the mountain roads really well and we felt completely safe. Nolan speaks excellent English and gave us lots of info on Albanian culture and history on the drive up. On the hike, he encouraged people to work to their own abilities and stayed at the back of the group to ensure everyone was taken care of.

A few pieces of information that are useful to know – the hike is moderate; not easy, not hard (in the summer months at least. I imagine it’s on the easier end of the scale at other times if year). Decent shoes, trainers, or boots are recommended. The water is icy cold, it will take your breath away! The day will last some 15 hours from Tirana in a large group; we returned c.9pm. Useful to have some snacks or breakfast with you due to the early start & to fuel the hike before lunch. And finally, the landscape is stunningly beautiful.

A great day with a diverse and interesting group and a great energetic guide: its great value and a wonderful day.

I really enjoyed the tour with Nolan. We had a comfortable car and a good driver. There were six tourists in total, and the pace was very relaxed — we never felt rushed when visiting the Blue Eye and the church in Theth. After the hike, we had the opportunity to have lunch. I ordered veal, but unfortunately, I didn’t like it — it was dry and tough. However, the guide doesn’t pressure anyone to order food; some tourists brought their own snacks.

Great day out! The trip had a great pace with built in stops along the way and well organised, and the hike itself was brilliant, beautiful scenery and amazing to see a different side of Albania and get to immerse in nature! Nolan was a friendly and thoughtful guide, looking after the whole group, regularly checking in on everyone while also allowing independence and for people to enjoy things at their own pace. My friend and I were travelling from Durres Beach to Theth and wanted to explore the area with some guidance as it was our first time in Albania. Nolan and our driver were incredibly accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable- providing historical information and constantly checking in to make sure we were okay! They catered the day to the travellers which was very comforting. Amazing experience- I highly recommend this tour!

Theth and the Blue Eye were beautiful. The driver was incredibly careful and safe. Unfortunately the guide, Anest, was frequently rude to the driver and about the driver (to the guests) for driving too slowly and even worse actively goaded a second driver into driving very dangerously on the mountain roads to “prove he was the best”, upsetting some guests. Hopefully his criticisms will not reflect badly on the driver who was very safe and all guests we spoke to preferred. Please do not encourage this behaviour in future. People booking should be aware that the hike was very difficult in 30° heat with no shade and dangerous in parts (more climbing than hiking), with Anest going at an unsustainable rate for even some of the fittest of our group. This was apparently for timing but we then spent almost 2hrs at lunch. The company should consider whether this tour is suitable in such weather conditions, as if all tours are like this an accident is likely to happen even for high fitness.

Had a fantastic day in Albanian Alps. Henri, our guide was lovely. Picked us up from our hotel location and also dropped us timely. He guided us through the trek route and the views were so scenic and amazing. Trek could be challenging through Rocky Mountain paths, so please wear good hiking shoes. Also got complementary lunch. Henri was very attentive and a great guide! It started raining a bit on the hike but Henri made sure we were all doing ok! If you are worried about the difficulty of the hike (I know I was) and you don’t have much hiking experience, don’t worry it’s most definitely doable and you’re in good hands! It does have some rocky parts but nothing crazy at all

Definitely a young persons tour as the hike was medium level but so much fun.

I had an amazing tour with Henri to Theth! Despite terrible weather in the morning Henri was able to modify our plans until the weather was better and we were able to hike. The company provided good rain jackets that kept up dry and warm. Theth Village and the Blue Eye hike were stunning. I loved my time here. The drive is long but the views along the way are great. A true slice of heaven in Albania.

We experienced all four seasons in one day, had an adventure driving through the snowy mountain roads, some insightful history in Theth and the perfect hike to the Blue Eye before a lovely lunch. Great day tour, my guide was Nolan who ensured the day was comfortable, we hiked to great spots to see the Blue eye pools, and also he helped me take a million photos as I was traveling solo. got lots of good information about Albania and Theth (he answered all my questions with information about the areas). Would recommend a visit here as it was beautiful to be hiking in the Albanian Alps! Hike is a moderate grade 3 hike, so with reasonable fitness levels should be done easily! 🙂

I booked a day tour from Tirana to Theth National Park with them and had a fantastic time! Guides Henri and Nolan supported and guided us from start to finish, and they held firm until late in the evening. The tour is very long, starting at 6:30 AM (depending on the starting point) and ending around 9/10 PM, so it should be considered a full day. The trip goes by quickly because the park’s beauty can be admired even from the van, and there are two excursions to see a beautiful waterfall and the renowned Blue Eye. Amazing! The lunch was also plentiful and delicious, with even vegan options. I recommend this agency to everyone, as their WhatsApp response times are incredibly fast!!! Thanks again for everything!

P.S.: The only thing I would like to point out is that water and coffee are not included and must be paid for separately.

Tour – It’s a 12 hour day from pick up to drop off but totally worth it. 3.5 – 4/10 difficulty rating for the hike to the Blue Eye, so pretty easy, depending on your fitness level. There are a lot of rocks on the hike so wear appropriate shoes. The hike was stunning and the stop at Theth was absolutely magical. Theth looks like it’s straight out of a fantasy novel. Tour Guide – Nolan was the best! Excellent driver (good enough to be a Formula 1 driver!) and an amazing tour guide. Nolan was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable! He was also very flexible so don’t be afraid to ask him if you need something. He also speaks excellent English! Would do more tours with him in a heart beat. Thanks for a wonderful time, Nolan!

Pick ups were smooth – I was well communicated with via whatsapp leading up to collection. Prepare for a long day (14hrs total). After 1.5hr a short stop. Opportunities to stop for photos at viewpoints as you go through the Alps. The hike was great – there is a 15min uphill section, and it is on loose rocks which can be slippery. The Blue Eye was stunning, for sure go up over the suspension bridge. Lunch after the walk at the restaurant was fine, there was plenty of food. The visit to Theti was short and just looking at the church and the reconciliation tower. Overall a great trip and beautiful day in the alps – thanks Henri

Landscapes were out of this world in October. Rain and clouds didn’t break our trip, but I can imagine we would not enjoy it that much if we had heavy rain as the hike is rocky and steep (no complain, worth it!) Our driver Noli was a very good driver and fun to hang out with during the day. The lunch was very good. We had vegetable omelette, chicken and veal meat, vegetable salad, chips, olives with yogurt and bread. All delicious. We felt a bit rushed during the hike, but we understood it was to squeeze all that is planned into our itinerary. The church of Teth is just a short photo stop, we thought there is more to see, bit our bad. Overall, a great day!!

Just got back from one of the best days in Albania. This tour is spectacular. Don’t hesitate. We were guided by Nolan. He was amazing. A great driver and knowledgeable about the area. He was also fun and kind. The lunch was delicious.

This was an incredible tour. We had a little bit of a rocky start time due to unforeseen circumstances, but this was insignificant by the end of the day. Our tour guide Henri was the most thoughtful, attentive and knowledgeable guide I have ever had. He got to know everyone on the bus and was constantly checking in to see that we were all comfortable. We learnt so much about Albanian history and culture, whilst taking in truly breathtaking landscapes. We enjoyed the scenic stop off points and most of all, the hike up the mountains and the clear blue waters. The blue eye is as beautiful as the pictures. Henri then took us around Theth village which was a picturesque and interesting site.

It was great to be able to fit some of Albania’s hidden gems into one day. Thank you Henri for such a great experience.

It was perfect. The Albanian Alps and the area are beyond beautiful. The route is 4/10 in terms of difficulty (if you are used to do hiking or exercise) but after a week of heavy rain some surfaces could be slippery and muddy so I highly recommend hiking boots and not vans or even sandals. Henri, the tour guide, was amazing and he explained to us a lot of Theth’s history. We even had a serious incident coming back to Tirana and he handled it very professionally. Worth every penny.

This trip was amazing. As my friends and I discussed our most favorite part of our Albania trip, the day we spent with Henri in the Balkan Alps was a unanimous highlight. First, Henri mad the trip for us. He was easy to talk to, willingly shared interesting information and history about this area of Albania, and navigated us skillfully up and down hairpin turns as he drove us in and out of Theth.

Our group hiked at different rates and Henri stayed with the slower members of our group and patiently helped when needed. He knew when to lead and guide and also when to get out of our way so we could create our own experience.

The scenery on this trip can’t be beat. We visited the Northern Blue Eye first with Henri and the Southern Blue Eye on our own. The Northern Blue Eye in the mountains was by far the more spectacular.

This is a long day with lots of time in the van, but the ride is interesting and in many places very scenic. It’s a great way to spend a day of your vacation. You won’t be sorry. And if Henri is your guide, you are very lucky!

The tour picked us up from our hotel in Shkoder. There were only 5 people in total on our tour, but the car was a bit cramped with us all. We stopped off first at Qafë Thore for a stunning view, then headed up and down the mountains to the Blue Eye for a fairly strenuous hike. The Blue Eye was beautiful and worth the 45 minute hike each way. We then had a very basic lunch there at a restaurant, before continuing on to Theth, where we stopped to see the church for 2 minutes before it began pouring and we headed back to Shkoder through the mountains. This was a great day, and although very long with a lot of time spent in the car, our guide Nolan was very helpful and spoke good English. We loved the Blue Eye and the views. The information is slightly misleading as the tour does not stop at the Grunas waterfall or the natural springs in the mountains. Otherwise a great day and would highly recommend

The trip was long and tiring but kudos to our great driver / tour guide Henri … really amazing guy super easily to talk to and always ready to help. Very sociable and informative. He makes everyone in the group feel welcome and comfortable. The lunch provided was sufficient the hike was nice with a lot of natural beauty especially the drive to the village or hiking place. Beware the water in the blue eye is freezing. Definitely an amazing trip. Great job Henri.

This tour gives you a little taster of the Albanian Alps which has invited us to explore them further at some point. We enjoyed the scenic views, the hike to the blue eye and the swim therein (despite the water being very cold ) We could not stop taking pictures . The stop at Teth was enjoyable but the church was closed that day. (only open on sSunday) On the road there was a zip line somewhere. Nolan our guide let us go on it , so this was a great break for my 14 year old , because there is a lot of driving. I would highly recommend this tour .

Henri was an amazing guide, picked me up in the morning from Tirana and on the way to the alps, he interacted with everyone making sure everyone felt comfortable. We had a small 10minutes break in between to get some coffee and sight see a city. And then we had a beautiful scenic drive up the Albanian alps where we made some stops to click some pictures. We then headed towards a restaurant and had some food and Henri made sure to ask for any dietary requirements and allergies too. After lunch we started on a hike which was about 45mins where we reach the blue eye at the end of the hike. Had a little swim in the cold water for about 30minutes or so and then descended back. Then, we went to theth Village and Henri gave us the history behind the place and had some free time to check some towers and churches out. Had a small snack break and we headed back home. Overall, the hike was really good and the views were amazing along with the blue eyes. Would definitely recommend it! :))

This tour was absolutely amazing… From the moment my friend and I were picked up we felt welcomed and ready for an adventure.

It was refreshing to meet people who wanted to explore the same place and our tour guide was a friendly and easy going dude. We very much enjoyed our time on this day.

The tour was spectacular and well set out. We were able to see many places with some backstory/history of each place.

The water was beautiful and lunch was an absolute bonus !

The trip was as amazing as said. Special thanks to Nolan our guide. Very polite and helpful. He provided most information that was possible. We said that we had heard of zipline in Theth and he stopped at the place where it happens.

In the hike he was keeping a good eye as to how we were doing and was encouraging at every step. Had he not been there we doubt we would have reached the Blue eye.

I would suggest everyone to try this trip and you would be very happy if you have Nolan as your guide.

This was a great tour experience. Henri the tour guide was great–everything from setting up pickup times the day before, to ensuring adequate breaks for refreshment, to chatting with everyone. What stands out most was his advice to completely douse our shirts in the stream before the long hike to the Blue Eye. That was a life saver on such a hot day. Great day, great companions.

My partner and I spent a fun, picturesque, and beautiful day in Theth National Park. Noli was a knowledgable and funny guide, very familiar with the area and his country. He surprised us was a juice and a candy bar at the beginning of the trip. We learned a lot about Albanian history and culture on the drive. He’s also a confident and safe driver, very skilled on narrow mountain roads. The destinations were beautiful, the trip was well designed, and the day went by without incident. Absolutely would recommend a day with Noli in Theth!

Super expensive and only 2 stops made it for the entire trip ( unbelievable) we didn’t even went for all the place that was mentioned. I was so excited about this trip, and everything was not meant to be. The day started with being late one hour ( understandable) but a better communication could improve customer service. Than during the whole trip, we didn’t get any information at all about Albania, we were divided in two cars, I was in the car without the guide, but even that, when we arrived to the place, none of the information being given. So basically you paying just to be driven there and that’s all . Don’t be fooled it’s too expensive, there some more cheap tours, more beautiful and interesting than this .

Best trip ever. The alps, Theth village and the blue eye, everything was so mesmerizing. The hike was grueling, but the destination was so worth it. All the hike and sun was forgotten in an instant once we reached the blue eye. So very beautiful.

My tour guide Ana was the absolute sweetest. She went above and beyond to make sure our group was comfortable. The long car rides were so interesting because of her, as she gave tidbits of history and cultural information throughout the trip. I loved traveling with her so much that I booked another private tour with her to the beaches.

Lunch was included in the package, so that was a plus. The lunch was really delicious too. Another guide was Henri, who was amazing. Throughout the hike he made sure we were safe, he took breaks with us, even carried a child(of another tourist) and hiked alongside us. Absolute best travel experience because of these two. Totally recommend this, once in a lifetime experience. Makes us feel alive

The road to our destination was gorgeous with breathtaking views, we have several stops for coffee and panorama views.

We had lunch before hiking at scenic place and after that had hiking to Blue eye (don’t forget swimsuits 🙂 ).

Great tour! I went solo and was pleased to know basically the rest of the group was all solo travelers too. Anna was our tour guide for the day in as she assisted the main tour guide since it was her first day. She was great; energetic and very personable! We had great conversations on the car ride.

The ride up the north mountains is beautiful and so is the blue eye! The blue eye water is very cool like freezing ice bath water. So if you’re able to take a swim after the hike kudos to you! But atleast it was worth putting our feet in the cool off from the heat.

It was a wonderful day with marvellous views, two little hikes to beautiful places and a swim in clear blue water. Nolan nicely guided us through the day. He answered all of our questions, responded to our wishes, adapted the order of the tour very well to the weather and was a very good driver on the windy and narrow mountain roads. Thank you for that perfect day!

For starters, you get directly picked up and dropped off from where you’re staying, which is a great way to start and end any day long adventure. The views throughout the day span across endless green and rocky mountains which you’ll climb to see two waterfalls. I recommend taking a dip in the water despite how freezing cold it is! Henri, our tour guide was excellent not only giving the history along the way but also was like hanging out with a dear friend. He even helped out two stranded tourists whose car got a flat and they joined us for the trip, which was very fun! By the end of the day he managed to get them to a mechanic. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Henri, to get the best views of the north of Albania! 🇦🇱⛰️

This trip is a must go to! The views are unbelievable, the hiking was 10/10 and the vibes immaculate.
