Itinerary & Details
Day 1: Enter North Macedonia
- Depart Tirana for Ohrid, North Macedonia. After a 2-hour journey, take a coffee stop at Drilon Park. Enjoy a relaxing time with the swans in the preferred vacation stop of Enver Hoxha (Albanian Communist Dictator).
- Drive along the lake perimeter to arrive in Saint Naum.
- Visit the 1000-year-old monastery build by Saint Naum. Enjoy the stunning lake views.
- Head towards the picturesque Ohrid, exploring Tsar Samuel’s Fortress, the Ancient Theatre, and the awe-inspiring frescoes in the Church of St. Sophia.
- Immerse yourself in the lively Old Bazaar, shopping for souvenirs and visiting local mosques.
- Enjoy an overnight stay in Ohrid.

Day 2: The Capitals: Skopje & Prishtina
- Start your journey towards Skopje. A mere 16km before Skopje, we will stop in one of the most famous natural attractions of North Macedonia, Matka Canyons.
- Take a boat tour through the canyon and explore the cave and the secret lake of Matka Canyon.
- Visit Skopje. Situated in the northwestern part of North Macedonia, along the Vardar River, Skopje is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia.
- Uncover Skopje’s neoclassical charm, wandering through Macedonia Square, the Art Bridge, and the Old Bazaar.
- Continue your journey towards Prishtina, Kosovo’s capital, for a captivating walking tour of the city center.

Day 3: The Cultural Capitals: Prizren & Kruja
- Depart Tirana for Prizren, Kosovo. Immerse yourself in the city’s rich history, exploring landmarks like Kalaja Fortress, the Albanian League of Prizren House, Carshia e Vjeter, Sinan Hoxha Mosque, and St. George’s Orthodox Cathedral.
- Begin your exploration with a visit to the remarkable Kruja Bazaar, a 500-year-old market.
- Embark on a walking tour within the castle’s wall.
- Ascend to the summit of Kruja mountain, 1100 meters elevation, where Tirana, Durres, Kruja and the Adriatic sea will be in the palm of your hands.
- Conclude the tour on the top of mountain of Kruja, where the center of Bektashi religion is found. Enjoy the breathtaking views created by the sun setting on the Adriatic sea.

Easy and enjoyable trip
The tour was nicely organized and easy to enjoy. We visited some interesting places and still had enough free time to explore on our own. The guide and transportation were reliable, which made the trip stress-free. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a good way to see a bit of the Balkans in a short time.
Good guide, but itinerary had issues
The itinerary was well curated however we did not cover everything written on the itinerary, partially because some of the sights were closed during this time of the year. In some instances the tour guide was surprised the itinerary I was given at the time of booking had things included that they usually don’t cover, so it was disappointing we didn’t cover them. I escalated this to the tour operator during the trip but they didn’t respond, which was surprising as they were quick to respond to my questions at the time of booking. I was also let down on one of the accommodation. The tour guide informed me that they probably had to put me in alternative hotel as they didn’t have availability in the usual one. The room had spider webs, broken bathroom door, rude staff, and no water/tea/coffee in the room. The tour guide was nice and friendly however I didn’t appreciate the tour guide was overly accommodating to the preferences of the other two (mother and daughter), covering/excluding/rushing things as they demanded, at the detriment of the itinerary.

Amazing 3 Days exploring the Balkans
This 3-day Balkan tour was an amazing experience! Everything was well organized and we managed to see so much in a short time. The landscapes, cities, and cultural insights were impressive. Our guide Noli was outstanding, very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, which made the journey even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smooth and memorable Balkan getaway.

Lots to see in a short time
Amazing trip with Anest through three Balkan countries in 3 days. An excellent way to see almost all of Macedonia and Kosovo (what is worth) and a portion of Albania. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see a lot in a short time span.
Fantastic tour with fantastic guide
Henri was a great guide we really had fun with him and the places were great
he really got deep into the fascinating albanian history shared a lot of interesting facts about the ancient albanian/illyrian history
After our 3 day Balkan tour with him we really feel like we know something more about Albania and Kosova

Great value and enjoyable experience
Albania Inbound were so reassuring from first contact and do alot of bespoke Balkins tour planning.
Huge complements to Henri and Genand on being excellent guides. We did the 3 day Balkins tour of Albania, North Macedonia & Kosovo with Henri and we subsequently got a private transfer with Genand for the long journey to Montenegro.
Henri is excellent for history and politics giving an honest local perspective while being so organised and helpful at all times. The 3 day tour was good value, relaxed, flexible but we saw so much across the Balkins. The hotels on the trip were very comfortable and central in Ohrid, North Macedonia and Pristina, Kosovo. Nothing was too much a request for Henri and he really was an excellent guide.
Separately we had a long journey (10hours) in alot of bad traffic from Tirana in Albania to Kotor in Montenegro with Genand. He was brilliant fun and we really enjoyed the adventure of the long journey with good humour!
